How many names may it use?

Lowering this does not switch off names it already uses. Those keep working until they run out or you switch the agent off; it just cannot make new ones.

Once registered, this agent acts under your name. You can switch it off at any time, and the registration runs out after a year.

Paste the key your agent gave you. It is safe to share. If your agent hands you anything it calls private or secret, do not paste it here.

Your agent works under made-up names, one per site or service it deals with. This caps how many it can have running at a time. You can change it later.

A principal is the person an agent acts for. Once you are registered, you answer for every agent you set up. Your agents work under made-up names, and a valid legal request can force the registry and an independent trustee, together, to trace one of those names back to you. Neither of them can do it alone.

Your name and email, a photo of you taken now, and the details read from your driver's license. You are not on the register until all four steps below are done.

Start here whether you are new or coming back. Your email is how you get in, and it is where we write if anyone ever asks us to identify you. Use one you actually read, and one only you can.
